Nadia Power has produced an incredible performance at the World Indoor Tour in TorĂșn, Poland tonight smashing her own Irish indoor 800m record running 2:00.98 to finish third. This improved on the Irish indoor record of 2:02.44 she ran when finishing second in the 800m at the Vienna Indoor Meet a little over two week ago on January 30th. Power has displayed again her race pedigree by producing this performance in a world class race. This result will also now put her into a strong position in relation to a Olympic qualification spot.

The Dubliner has consistently delivered quality performance in the 2021 indoor season producing three of her fastest times ever, including her fastest ever improving on her outdoor best of 2:01.01 set in September of 2020 which was a new Irish U23 record.

Power will now return to Dublin to focus on a block of training before competing at the European Indoor Athletics Championships which take place in Toran March 5th-7th.
